Excellent upgrade for old mini PCs
I purchased this CPU for an old Dell OptiPlex 3020M I was given. I bought at a pretty "bad" time, so I ended up shelling out a cool $45. These are now easy to get for just under $40, if not even less. That said, I'm happy with the upgrade. This computer previously had an i3-4150T, which has only two physical cores. Even four cores are starting to become a little cramped in some applications, but that and the integrated graphics are still very comfortable for a family computer. The installation is as simple as any other processor: open up the computer, remove and clean the cooler and old CPU, place the new CPU, apply thermal paste, and reassemble the computer. Due to the reduced clocks the T processors feature, temperatures are very comfortable. With my fairly light use of Microsoft Edge (the new Chromium version) with 10 or so tabs open and Discord, temperatures are always in the low to mid 40s C. I've found that to be fairly impressive given the form factor of the computer this is inside. Overall I'm extremely happy with the results of this processor, even if I overpaid a little. I would suggest getting this over a similar i7 (4765T or 4785T) because those are currently well over double the price. Hyperthreading is a nice advantage, but it's not big and is definitely not worth an extra $60 or more.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Still one of the best low wattage CPUs.
Ive been building gaming rigs for almost 20 years. Id guess about 44 to 50 units. Ive learned that a gaming rig doesnt need a 125w+ cpu unless your looking for 144fps on Ultimate settings. These rigs will cost $3,000+. Thats not ecomomical unless you have money to burn. 99% of people cant afford that. If your looking for a good CPU that can pair with a GTX 1650 or 1050ti to build a pico PSU mini, low wattage gaming rig, this IS the one. you will need to find a B85, H81, Z87, H91, Z97, H97, etc. Motherboard. My newest efficient rig uses this CPU with an H97 itx, and GTX 1650 with 16gb, and 1tb ssd. total rig uses 110w full load gaming. 60+ fps on all games at 1080p on very high settings. making it prettier and more energy efficient than any modern console. The T line i5, and i7 CPUs are excellent performers. the S line is better for GTX 1660s or 1070s. Dont always believe the hype on liquid cooling and 20 core CPUs. Its just hype. 4 core, 35w CPU is plenty sufficient. Most builds over do it on the CPU and scrimp on the GPU. Id suggest leaning in the opposite direction if your building primarily for gaming. Other than the i7 4785t, this is THE best value 35w CPU out there. Hands Down. A 35w cooler with get throttled often if gaming. 65w cooler will give 66c on full gaming load, 38 to 42c idle. a 95w cooler will give 52c on full gaming load, and 28 to 32c idle. Get the 95w cpu coolers if space and finances are not an issue. The seller provided a clean, strong performing CPU for a steal of a deal. Shipped quick, arrived early, and easy to install. Processor runs the computer more effectively and has eliminated the constant pausing.

Best Steam Machine upgrade
