Innovative and Amazing Arrow Launcher!
The Benjamin Pioneer airbow is a "giant leap" forward in the field of high-powered arrow launchers! While bows and crossbows are shouldering each other to get 350 fps, the airbow goes 450 fps for eight full shots before needing a recharge! To put that into perspective...once fired, all it takes is a quick pull of the cocking handle, slide another arrow down the tube, and it's ready to deliver another devastating punch, whereas a crossbow demands a great deal more time and attention to recharge. The longbow is fast to shoot, but requires physical strength, stamina, and even size to achieve maximum potential, and one certainly cannot sit calmly under cover using a high-powered scope and super crisp trigger that sends an arrow out at 100 feet per second MORE than most compound bows. The airbow is actually a great deal simpler than any crossbow, or even compound bow considering all that goes into making those contraptions work, as well as all the various ways they can malfunction or break. The airbow is slender and compact, and is basically a "rifle" for all intents and purposes, that uses compressed air to launch arrows. While the airbow can be readily recharged using a hand pump, one can easily carry a small cylinder of air compressed to 4,500 psi that will deliver half a dozen "recharges" to the on-board air tank...so doing the math, that's nearly 50 shots, with each bank of eight shots being quickly delivered...not quite as fast as shooting and re-nocking a compound bow, but close, and more powerful, more accurate, and can be carried READY all day and all night. The Benjamin Pioneer airbow is basically a converted .357" air PCP air rifle which is actually a GOOD THING in that the basic tech behind it is mature and well developed. Ergonomics are excellent, and handling is superior to any sort of "bow" to be found. Sure the arrows aren't cheap, but then neither are arrows made to stand up to the push of a powerful compound bow or crossbow. Sure it has to be pumped up, but the RETURN on that "investment" is being able to rip off eight full-powered shots in rapid succession! Considering that in the hunting field people seldom shoot more than a few times...which means the airbow is perfect for packing out for hunting just as it is. Also, it's not at all expensive when compared to other arrow launching devices that push arrows at 400 fps. It's not hard at all to drop a thousand bucks on a compound bow or crossbow that doesn't even come close to the airbow!

Not worth the money
When you get it you still need to a tank so you can shoot it. By the time it's all said and 1000.00 dollars in to it at the cheapest. Arrows are of the worst quality they break on a normal target. If they hit anything at a slight angle they break if they hit the ground they break had to buy a different scope to even get it on target at 20 yards. Would never buy it again trying to sell it.

Truly Unique
I haven't had a lot of time to shoot it, but my first shot was low and it buried the the field tip eight inches into a tree stump.

Better Than Expected
We purchased this Airbow more out of curiosity than anything else. We are very pleased with it. It is more powerful than expected. It shoots harder than my Barnett Crossbow. We also purchased the hand pump to refill with air. The pump works good, but it is slow to fill. (good exercise)
