A good well made film but you need to understand German.
The film is based on a contemporary children`s book about Hans Rockle who is a puppeteer, inventor, and blacksmith who is challenged by the devil. The most important inventions are a automatic sewing machine, and a weather controlling flute. The problem for me is this lacks English subtitling in order to get a full understanding of the story, but do not let that put you off it is a very well made film with very good picture quality on the dvd considering the film`s age.
