A must-see version full of imagination
Highly imaginative and quite well acted. I've tried to pick a favorite character each time I've watched it and keep coming back to the Mad Hatter, probably because of Martin Short's incredible voice modulations combined with crazy facial distortions... But Christopher Lloyd's White Knight is always amusing. Have watched it about five times now over the past 20 years and find something new in it each time. There are several not-so-good (half-grimacing here) parts but overall it's very entertaining for both children and adults, not an easy feat. Best way to watch? Love this movie
This is the Alice in Wonderland I grew up with as a kid. I used to have it on VHS but no longer have a VCR so I really wanted the DVD copy. It's out of print everywhere and this is the only place I was really able to find it for a good price with the actual box case and pamphlet inside. It shipped very quick, it was actually delivered 2 days in advance to the estimate so I was very happy. Many Hollywood stars and classical theaters actors / actresses alike.
If you're looking for a new twist on an old story, this would be the version for you. The animation, animatronics (lifelike mechanical representations of real animals) and costumes are excellent in this movie as well. I bought this movie for my mother, an avid Gene Wilder fan.
