Connie Doyle (Ricki Lake) is pregnant and homeless after a fight with her deadbeat boyfriend (Loren Dean). A train wreck and a case of mistaken identity leads her to the opulent Massachusetts mansion of the Winterbourne family, lead by the stately Grace (Shirley MacLaine). Thought to be the wife of their son, who was killed in the crash, Connie wins the love of the grieving mother as well as the heart of the deceased man's twin brother (Brendan Fraser). Laughs & smiles for a feel good time
While this film has the plot of a made for TV movie, Shirley MacLaine absolutely kills it and don't get me started on Brendan Fraser. I can't say the wrong twin died, but I almost want to because the BF we meet at the beginning is everything. Poor imagery of subject(s)
This review is about the DVD itself, not the content. I love this story and the initial original creation of the movie (DVD). However, the copy sent me is spoiled both by verticle and horizontal distortion.
