Halogen Oven Practicalities
Halogen oven's, generally, are very economical to use. The hinged lid variety, are the most practical, especially from a space point of view, and the digital design, is a great improvement, as in this model. However, the raising and lowering of the lid, when using the extension, proves a little frustrating. Don't be fooled by the size, you can cook a whole chicken roast potatoes and more in half thie time of a normal oven and it's so much cheaper to run.
This is the most amazing cooker and it's so easy to use and clean up is a breeze as it has to selfclean function mode. My favourite thing about this oven is it's up to temperature in a minute so something like oven chips are ready to eat in less than 20 minutes and a pizza takes about 15 minutes. Some ovens take that long to preheat, also you'll save a fortune on your electric. The function pad is a touch pad so it's easy to use and keep clean. Versatile and Economical
The bonus on this oven compared to my last ,is the hinged lid, its so easy to use. Also the extender ring stores around bottom of bowl . The rice steamer/cake tin are an added plus, have used for both rice and cake successfully . Being digital its easier to increase or decrease times. Its so easy to use and very economical, when your cooking for one ,as it saves heating a whole large oven up. Easy to do all your cooking in , and easy to keep clean. Also has a drying function, which I recommend you use after cleaning or use, or leave lid up for a while , as my last oven went rusty around the fan , so it would not work so then the heat doesn't work . Improved design!
Economic quick cooking! Next to no warm up time, large capacity, very easy to see what is going on, digital controls for consistent cooking temperatures and times. The lid hinge locking mechanism is an improvement on the previous Andrew James halogen we are still using (the new one is a spare just in case they go out of production). The old one now has a rattly fan, but otherwise is still going strong after many years of frequent use. I think a mesh cooking tray (brilliant for smaller items such as chips etc) would be better included in the accessories instead of the rice cooker thingy. Could do with a longer lead, but I understand that leads are short for safety reasons these days. That said, certainly would not do without our Halogen oven!Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Handy Little Oven
Positives + Ok I have been using my new Andrew james 12 Litre Halogen Oven (with Hinged Lid) for seven and a half months now and i been using the oven at least twice a day ever day. The oven itself is so easy to used with the digital display and the timer pings are loud enough to hear from my living room, about 30 feet away (I live in a quiet flat). The cooking times setting range from 0 to 9.99 hrs and temperatures from 0 to 250 deg centigrade which will cover all food needs I have not used the main oven since buying this wonderfull little device, only the cooking rings so i can boil some additional foods at the same time as cooking with my halogen oven and i cant be without it now. Negatives - The only things i can negatively mention is that the high rack supplied with the oven is very fragile as this snapped at one end after about 2 months use, it is still usable but with extra care. And the only other thing is the oven is quite bad at Toast and Crumpets as it temps to completely dry them out and they turn hard and brittle so i still use my toaster for these. Great oven for cooking most things
I bought the oven mainly for when I'm using my caravan especially at Christmas looking ahead slightly , I've only tried a couple of pre prepared chilled meals whilst staying in my caravan over the weekend , I did gammon steaks and pineapple which were successful and chicken breasts with stuffing and sausage the chicken was successful the sausage and stuffing balls were a bit well done even though I hid them under the chicken, I think if your doing pre prepared food maybe reduce the temperature rather than following the food manufacturers instructions as the oven is hotter than a normal oven. I left the cleaning of the oven two days as even though I'd used it twice for meals that were fatty it wasn't that dirty, I put it on a clean when I brought it home, it was very interesting to watch and afterwards was spotless again I was really impressed. It isn't that small so storage is a problem so sits on the work surface at home with all the accessories inside and the extender ring on the outside of the bowl, in the caravan it would take up a lot of room so I will only use it when I have the awning up. Word of warning to buyers for caravans , not necessarily this model, but the bowl gets extremely hot, friends warned me to stand it on something if stood on the work surface as theirs ruined their worktop by melting the glue in the work surface. I stood mine on an old piece of Formica on my metal picnic table in the awning. So easy to use
This is simply brilliant. I have never had one before so it was all new to me. However, roast beef, roast potatoes and Yorkshire Puddings all done in the halogen and so very, very tasty. I only ever use my "proper oven" now for the Christmas turkey! I cannot recommend this item enough. Halogen Oven with Hinged Lid
I've used Halogen Ovens to cook with for years. My last Andrew James oven lasted about 5years, being used almost every day. I'm delighted to have this product again. It is easy to use. Heats up instantly. Accurate timer and temperature controls. It is easy to clean and l particularly like the hinged lid as it is more compact and safer than a detached lid, which takes up more space and could be dangerous and cause burns. Good buy
I spent a good while looking which one to buy, this had good reviews on the whole. I'm pleased I've bought it, so far it's lived up to expectation. Lovely cakes, jacket potatoes, sausages, chips, pizza. Roast beef. Didn't do so well with the Yorkshire pud, but I'll have another go.
