Very good product, but with problems.
If I had my way, I'd give this stuff a 5, but that's not possible. Started getting back into modeling in late 2016 after 15 years, but this time going for 1/35th scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas. Since I wasn't sure if I'd stayed interested in modeling, wasn't about to buy even one kit. Instead, pulled out Italeri's tow Humvee that I had built 20+ years ago and went to take it apart to add detail to the kit that wasn't there to begin with. This is when I broke one of the wheels off which was actually a good thing because I think there's only ONE kit that actually gives you a spare tire. I've used Micro Marks 2 part silicone before and it's great stuff, but a bit expensive, so decided to try Smooth On. THE biggest problem with Smooth On's product is there is NO best use by date on either bottle or on the box. Instead, it says limited shelf life, something I hadn't thought of when I bought it originally. After using some of it to make a mold of the Humvee wheel, it sat on my shelf in the house for about 2-3 months. When I went to use it again, it had solidified?! It's still a good bargain price wise, but now I only order it when I'm going to make a lot of molds. Do I recommend it? Yes, but only if you plan on using all of it within a month or so. As for Micro Mark's stuff, it's good for (I think) at least 2 years and does give you a best use by date on both bottles.

Fake canned raspberries look so real
First time using the smooth on worked great. I made a mold of raspberries and a small jar with lid for soap making ,looked so real. My mother tyres to take the lid off to taste the raspberries lol . Smooth on pick up every detail love this and so easy to use.

Easy To Use
Makes great molds. Sets in a few hours. Strength is good, and captures every detail. Allows you to continuously cast. I used my molds for resin, and plaster, intermittently, with ease. One word of advice, take your dear sweet time, when mold making.

Easy to use, lightweight with good results
This is a very good product for making molds of things you really do not need extreme detail for. Since it can be use without a vacuum it is easy to use in home or small shop. Also I am pleased you do not need a lot of mold release for this product.

Good deal just watch your mixture.
I was wanting a compound to do some medium size handles for my gouge sets. I had used products before but you need to be careful becAuse all compounds are different. You must mix this in equal volumes and not weight. A is heavier than B so if you weigh into cup you will end up with an uneven mixture. Once I adjusted for this my mold turned out fantastic and I will get all the parts I need from a single mold!

Children
I absolutely love the silicon mold making rubber kit. The children I bought it for had an amazing time creating their own molds including a hand mold. I would def recommend it.

First time using this product, but I watched youtube and makers site videos, several times. Process worked very well considering inside curing at 70 degrees. The base jel in "A" was smooth and mixed well. The jel in "B" was thicker and came out in more "gloobs" than running smoothly, but with a little more effort blended in well. Being in winter type temps the set time was a little longer than some have reported, but in 6 hours firmed up well and I'm very happy with the results................

Durable and easy to use
Bought a small amount to test to see if this was the product that would work best with our application (making soap molds) and it was perfect. Easy to use but left us with a durable mold. Will be purchasing in larger quantities in future!

Easy to use
All I had to do is take a small cardboard box, line it with plastic wrap, lay the original item(s) on top of the plastic backside down and pour the mold mix over the original piece until it is completely covered. Let it sit for a while and peel the original out of the new mold. Really easy and no mess.

great quality for the price
silicone is 1 for 1 so its easy to measure, cures fast, minimal to no odor, and it tears very little when using.
