Both the headphone and output jacks offer 100 ohms impedance. The included tutor software connects your drums to a computer to get the most from them. These drum kits pack a lot of punch into such a small product. The added tom pad cushions, muffled snare head, and kick beater make the Roland HD-1 very quiet and perfect for practice. When you want it to sound louder, simply plug it into an amp or set of speakers. The entire kit comes with several pieces of hardware, including a bass drum pedal kick, snare, hi-hat, hi-hat pedal, three tom pads, and crash and ride padded cymbals. The entire kit can be powered with a DC 9V AC adapter. It has a current draw of 300 milliamps. The HD-1 electronic drum kit has a mounted interface that houses many of its electronic components. The kit has a built-in metronome that ranges from 40 to 220 beats per minute. You can select between three different drum sounds and control the external output volume as well. It has output, headphone, mix in, MIDI out, and Trigger cable out jacks. This means you can connect the HD-1 to an external amp, a speaker, or your computer or other MIDI-controller to program the various tones produced by each individual drum pad. The MIDI-out option allows for the possibility of endless hours spent sampling drums and sounds and then replicating them on the kit. The Roland HD-1 V-Drums Lite set is small enough to fit in any practice space, and everything is neatly and tightly fitted onto a stand for easy portability. These electronic drums are ideal for beginners, but by investing in some key accessories, they can be useful even for advanced players. The V-Drums Tutor Software has interactive programs designed to connect the electronic drum set to your computer. The Roland PM-01 personal drum monitor is also perfect for amplifying the sound of your drum set, and the mat helps keep your kit in place while you are playing. for the price it's a good buy.

Almost there
The pad positions are very close together. Once you reach the limit of the arms, you are done. Because of this, I never felt comfortable playing them.
