Based on a real persons life
This film is based on a real persons life. Very entertaining, but also disturbing how events played out. Women were actually considered the property of men, and treated as such. A film well worth watching. Natalie Dormer and Shaun Evans are excellent in this

Excellent period drama
I had seen this production on TV before and liked it so much I wanted a copy of it on DVD to keep. Superb performances from the cast, especially Natalie Dormer and Sean Evans. The story is also interesting to me as I knew something of the original book from my own work as a freelance editor.
