PC is now twice as fast
Was able to upgrade from a single core AMD 3200+ to this 180 dual core. Easy to replace, and no new Windows XP install was necessary, however to get the dual core to be recognized, I had to update the BIOS via flashing it and update the chipset driver. Those were tough to track down until I found a legacy page at ASUS (the maker of my motherboard) and AMD's website, not to mention the .RAR zipped chipset driver which had to be uncompressed before installing. Took me an entire day to track all these different elements down and figure all this out, but well worth the effort! AMD Forever
