Great computer for the price!
Lets get one thing straight: this is not a high-performance laptop. If you need a machine for heavy software like gaming, graphic design, video editing etc. look elsewhere. This computer is, however, great deal. For less than 300 dollars you can get a lightweight, compact, sleek and highly functional laptop. This computer comes with windows 10, and is perfect for handling everyday task such as: web browsing, email, word processing, photo viewing etc. It has an Ethernet port, two USB ports(one is USB 3.0) as well as a disk drive. The screen is nice, bright and clear. The keyboard feels ergonomic and the sound is great. It is certainly a step up from most tablets. This laptop looks more expensive than it is! It has an intel pentium CPU that maxes out at 1.7 GHZ, If you ever have several programs up and running simultaneously, you can somewhat feel the lagging effect begin. Nice but not all that
It's a nice unit. Seems well built and operates well but is a bit slow for me at 1.6 GHz max. Comes with windows 10; first time with 10 for me. I don't like windows 10 much; thinking of going back to 7 but becoming accustomed to 10 (still don't like it). The thing is loaded with software I don't need; most of it ads and links to add ons, etc. that you will need and have to pay for. I usually build my own computer, much faster and no software ads., but bought a laptop at my sons advice this time. I like my builds better but altogether I think this is a good deal for the price. ASUS X540S an excellent value

Sleek, Slim, Lightweight....Great Machine for the Price!
I purchased this laptop for my son on his 21rst birthday. He LOVES his music and this machine has the 1TB HDD he needs to hold his collection! He plays some games on it and uses it for Facebook. It's not really a gamers computer but it does not profess to be. That does not mean you can't play a game or two on it. He is happy, I am happy. Great computer.
I have had this laptop computer a couple of days now, set it up and using it. It works great, plenty fast for basic tasks, it looks and seems new, battery on mine works fine, replacements are $15. 100% thrilled! It was only $250.00 and arrived here in three days. Works just as great as an expensive apple computer
