Stihl MS192T chainsaws are designed for professional arborists. Their size and weight are optimized for work off the ground in trees, and they have a range of safety features to protect the user. These chainsaws are most suitable for cutting small to medium branches and clearing brush. This chainsaw has the power and precision for professional work and excellence in tree trimming. This Stihl saw has an ergonomic top handle for easier one-handed carrying. It is made with alloy die castings for added strength. The powerhead weighs just under seven pounds, which makes this a light, compact machine. The chainsaw comes from the factory with a Rollomatic 12-inch bar and a Oilomatic Picco Micro Mini chain that has pitch of .375 inches. The Picco Micro Mini has a semi-chisel cutter shape. This powerhead is also compatible with 14-inch and 16-inch bars and Rapid chains with pitches from .25 inches to .404 inches. This model should only be used with reduced-kickback chains.This Stihl saw is powered by a one-cylinder gasoline engine with 30.1 cubic centimeters of displacement. It runs on a mix of premium unleaded gasoline and two-stroke air-cooled engine oil at a ratio of 50:1. The capacity of the fuel tank is .27 liters, which gives you enough working time per tank that you will not need to keep interrupting the job for refills. The powerhouse is protected from dust and other contaminants with one of two types of air filters. A standard fabric air filter is suitable for normal conditions, while the fleece filter should be chosen in a very dry or dusty environment. The chain is lubricated automatically from a .22-liter reservoir of bar oil. When it is time to refill the tanks, you will appreciate that they have tool-free caps for easy opening and locking. Other important features of this Stihl chainsaw include the side-access chain tensioner and the noise-reducing muffler. It also has a carburetor system that automatically adjusts the air-to-fuel ratio for maximum performance. There is a retractable ring at the back of the powerhead that you can attach to a lanyard or rope. This makes it easy to haul the saw up a tree or lower it safely down to the ground. This Stihl chainsaw has a number of safety systems to protect you from injury. These include the chain brake, which stops the saw from running while it is idling or if there is a kickback. The chain catcher protects you if the links break or come off the bar. A front hand guard keeps your left hand off of the moving parts, and the bumper spike holds the saw securely against the wood you are cutting for better control. This saw also has anti-vibration technology that dampens the shock that travels up your arms during prolonged, professional use. The Stihl MS192T is a sturdy machine.
