  • Excellent value for the price, though not a $900 printer

This is my second personal 3D and I've worked with more than a half dozen more, including ones that cost well over $20,000. For less than $400, I doubt you could do significantly better. It is not perfect, but it's ridiculously easy to assemble and operate. It had a few fits and starts in the beginning, mostly because the AnyCubic i3 Mega cannot maintain a hotbed temperature above 100 in my heated office (usually at 24 degrees Celsius / 75 degrees Fahrenheit thanks to all the equipment) See first picture. Fortunately, a $1.67 HomeDepot cardboard box (2 foot on side) with some cut outs for the filament and cords, a side-door cut out, and a rectangle to view and operate the touch screen), and it could hold 110 just fine. Picture included. Even with the high-end enclosing above, not expect to use the full 210mm square printing surface without ABS juice. The prints will not stay adhered to the surface. I suspect this is mostly again due to the ultrabase not maintaining heat on the edges. With ABS (it came with PLA), I find that creating the gcode files in Cura 3.1.x they worked best with an extruder temp of 240c and a bed temp of 102c makes consistent prints. Others have more to say about PLA. Am going to try PETG soon.

  • Anycubic i3 Mega- Should I buy one??

In Short the answer is YES!! This is the Third 3D printer I've bought and out of the box this has beaten my other printers in most every aspect A Wifi connnection would be nice but that is my one and only issues. I was up and printing in less than 20 minutes. The print quality is fantastic and the features can not be beat at this price point. This printer was purchased to test if it could handle the demands for my company PM Gaming Systems. We desing and print game terrain for tabletop gaming. Our customers expect quality and the Anycubic i3 Mega Delivers on every front. If you are new to 3D print I can say with all honesty this is a fantastic system to start with. IF you are a seasoned vet then this is a great system to add to your stable. We will be buying at least 10 more of these for our company. Well do Anycubic

  • Great printer for the price

This is the second I3 Mega that I bought - the first one has been running for over a year pretty much 24x7 and the only problem with that was the surface of the print bed falling apart (they sent a replacement, installation was easy). I also replaced one hotend (my fault, did not realize it was ABS on the spool and tried to print with PLA settings and thought it was clogged...). The print quality is really good (compared to the Microcenter Flashforge clones I had before) and even though the out of material sensor is pretty much standard today, it is a very nice feature to have and saved me on quite a few prints now. Bottom line, even after over one year extensive use, it prints like on the first day and I would highly recommend this printer. There may be better ones and ones with a larger print volume, but for me, this is the best bang for the buck...

  • Great lo w cost printer!

11I'm have owned other fdm printers and they can be very finicky. Customer support for those old printers was c virtually nonexistent. I decided to try the i3 mega mostly because of the glowing customer support reviews. I am glad I did! My printer seemed doa at first. I shot off an email and to my surprise, I got a reply within an hour...mostly due to time difference. After a string if simple debugging we figured out that a pc board had dislodged itself just enough so the unit would not power up, then when I got it to turn on it did not accept any commands on the lcd. I resealed the board and have been printing almost nonstop ever since! Excellent customer service and wonderful printing experience as well as quality of print! PLA prints without issue. I have had problems trying to print with abs, won't stink to bed...but I heard an enclosure of sorts to maintain the higher temp may help. Using curio slicing software and solidworks or thingiverse downloaded stl files have all worked beautifully! I did have a broken bracket (3d printed, for filament sensir) but that is being sent via mail. Now my only problem is how addictive this stuff is.

  • GREAT Entry Level+ Machine!

This was my first foray into home 3D printing, having used larger industrial machines in their infancy. I was up and printing in a remarkably short amount of time. The instruction manual is thorough and clear. The i3 Mega heated bed surface is incredible. I haven't had adhesion issues as long as the filament temp is set properly and when the bed cools, parts don't even seem attached. No prying, scraping or cursing- just an easy release. I am using the latest version of Cura as a slicer and this machine can do everything I expected and more. It represents an excellent value and prints PLA like a champ. I haven't tried any other materials yet as I haven't had a need but ABS will be next. Stop waffling- just buy it!

  • I love this pointer!!!

Setup is very easy, literally 10 screws. The only drawback is the filament is pulled from the bottom. I had already setup my spools in air-tight containers on a shelf above, so now I must reroute them. I think I can pull them in from the back. The printer is very fast, about 5)% faster then the error prone Monoprice Select (frequent heater error). Very easy to remove model from the heated bed (some kind of special surface). One drawback, the Cura software shipped keeps resetting the filament diameter from 1.75. If I don't remember to reset that, the prints are bad. Recommended for novice, professional or artists. I could not get the Cura "new version available, update?" to see the printer (USB connected to PC). It could use an LED light strip, but there are lots of 3d models for that.

  • Great 3d printer

Oh man let's get started with this review. This printer is one of the best out there, for 155 euros you get everything you need to assemble and start printing in under 1 hour. The printer setup is extremely easy and very user friendly, the printer manual is actually usefull, very easy to understand and offers quite in-depth explanation of the printer settings and functions. This 3d printer is great for someone who doesn't have any previous experience in 3d printers. Anycubic did an excellent job on this printer. On the pictures bellow i will include the shipping box and some of the prints i made. Note that i was also a begginer when i bought this 3d printer. Also the frame is very steady. A steady table is a good place to instal it because it needs stabillity for some steep moves.

  • Great 3D Printer

Received printer in good order and set up was easy enough except for print bed leveling. All tutorials on-line show an assisted bed leveling option but the firmware packed with the machine I received must have an older firmware version loaded. Only option was to do a manual leveling technique that accomplished the job, but I suspect not as accurately and certainly not as quickly. The printer prints a high quality and detailed print. Having received upgraded heated print bed and extrude nozzle it really helps in the printing and post removal tasks. The printer price represents a very attractive buy for the quality received.

  • Best 3d printer out there

This thing is built to last it not some cheap junky model you get elsewhere. I set this up in ten minutes and was printing in 15 minutes from opening it. Leveling was a breeze if you follow the directions. I am not tech nerd or 3d printer genius, just a normal average Joe, and this printer was as easy as it get to get working. The prints are flawless with no curl or warps I would buy this over and over again. Its that good.

  • Unbelievable quality!

Always skeptical of low priced 3d printers, but for the price this is one of the largest build volumes available AND comes pre-assembled (99% anyway), which is why I bought it, and have been blown away by the touch screen interface and overall functionality of this machine. All 3d printers have their issues, & this one is no different, but I have spent no time on setup & instead dove right into tweaking settings to improve the already amazing print quality right out of the box. This machine has definitely exceeded my expectations.
