Excellent entry level guitar!
The Vendetta XM offers a no-frills instrument that has everything you need and nothing you don't. Lightweight body, due to the Paulownia wood construction. The stock humbucker pickups put out plenty of signal for an entry level to intermediate player. The only reason I could see changing them out for, is if you're in search of a particular tone. The tune-o-matic style bridge makes for easy action and intonation setup, should you find it necessary. Mine came set up well right out of the box, but you may find it necessary to vary the factory setup to suit your tastes or compensate for a factory setup that's either too high or too low for your tastes. Through the body string anchoring make for a noticeable increase in sustain and tone transmission to the body for resonance. Single volume and tone controls will not please a guitarist that wants meticulous control over what each pickup puts out, but for someone that wants less controls to adjust while playing, such a setup keeps things simple, a plus for me on stage. It's no big deal for me to "tweak" a tiny bit on the fly if switching from lead to rhythm pickup, as opposed to adjusting four controls like one would with a Les Paul style. Twenty-four frets at this price point is virtually unheard of, and the neck profile is thin and fast. If you have a choice between this and, say a comparably priced Squier and your playing leans more toward hard rock or heavy metal, the Vendetta will probably be the better option for you.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Dean Vendetta "U Fix It"
Body and fretboard looked as if it just came from the factury. Required minor repairs to the bridge pickup screw holes, 3 of the 4, were striped out and the resoldering of one wire that had broke loose from a potentiomenter. Short, easy, no cost fix.Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Gebraucht

Great guitar for the price
This inexpensive guitar is actually very well put together. I've read some reviews on this guitar before that weren't good. First of all, it may seem like the tuners cannot keep the strings in tune...they can. The strings are brand new and need to be stretched out. The action was a little high for my taste and made the strings too far from the pickup, leaving the bass empty. Once I lowered the action, the feel was great and the sound was perfect. The nut on the input jack was loose, but this happens all the time in shipping guitars. Easy to tighten. It is lightweight, but not so light that it feels cheap or fake. Great for wall art
I bought this to hang on the wall. It will not be played. Great as a starter? No as it goes out of tune very easily. New players should avoid whammy bars as the bridge set up on inexpensive guitars is unstable. Couple of strums and its out of tune. New players should buy a hard tail guitar. You pay for what you get.
The sound is not good for me. I put new strings on it the first things. I'm also going to put in different pick-ups I have from another guitar. It has a good look for the money. I have seen better sounding guitars for the money. Dean guitar
This is a good name brand guitar for a very good price I have several guitars and this one sounds as good as my expensive dean razor. It comes in a dark red satin color,no gloss shell to chip or crack. I would recommend this for beginners or a pro. The shipping was fast and the guitar was well protected by the packaging. Good guitar for my student
Purchased this as a gift for one of my students, fits her well, action and intonation were very good. Finish is excellent and construction is very good. Guitar you won't outgrow. Great buy
My daughter borrowed her friend's vendetta to see if guitars were her thing. She loved it so we bought her own. My adult friend who plays says it's one of the best buys for beginning guitar players and he still enjoys playing one as an experienced player.
