C*** computer do not buy
Troublesome immediately Default browser Bing dreadful low research scope Competes with Google or other So slow as to be unworkable I bought my own virus protection but because it had trial softwear kept competing kept Se ding unnecessary pop ups to buy as their instalment had expired I managed zoom twice with difficulty and my online courses therefore became impossible to continue On one occasion due to Bing competing with Google I had 2 panels on zoom which then kept cancelling each other due to distortion freezing etc So bad I had to get it expert to look at it His view was that Acer should not be able to produce such poor products as they do nothing memory care to small for most modern uses Despite having bought Norton due to constant flipping acquired viruses that stopped laptop from performing even most basic functions Since I could not afford another I have had to have the laptop upgraded costing another 170Bestätigter Kauf: JaArtikelzustand: Neu

Refurbed laptop

Great Machine, But NEEDS A DVD Writer fitted to it.
Having already bought an ACER Aspire 3 about 6 years ago, I decided to buy myself a 2nd, because my first one is showing signs of either a windows 10 problem or a hard drive problem (I cant make out where the exact issue is), and I have about 200 GB of music files anyway to keep. Really good machine, but this one has no DVD writer fitted to it, which is the only problem, Also, most laptops and PC's now come with SSD hard drives fitted, which makes the hard drive's life span last much longer. I've been in computing for over 30 years, and I am capable of building them from nothing to complete. I like the SSD's but I prefer the "old style" hard drives instead. This is perfect for me, this machine, but I would have preferred it come with that DVD Writer fitted instead. Horrendously slow
I read other reviews calling this laptop slow but shrugged them off as I literally only want to use it for doing office documents and browsing youtube etc, but it struggles even with this. Its barely usable, absolutely everything is a struggle.
