Because roads and routes may change, this Navigon GPS unit allows you to update the route. To do the update, all you need to do is enter the download mode. The update only takes a few minutes if you do one metropolitan area at a time. If you want to install multiple updates, you can connect it to your laptops, desktop computer, or other electronic accessories with a USB cable. This allows for fast downloading times of any route. The robust hardware and software can also be updated with downloads through an SD card. If you need to access international maps, the device will allow you to update your location through its SD card.This Navigon GPS unit is designed with convenience in mind. You can touch the screen to zoom in on streets and businesses on the maps. These mobile units also display information about traffic. If you see that traffic is busier than expected on your route, you can have it make adjustments to a route with less traffic. The Navigon 2100 also provides exceedingly accurate map coverage from coast to coast, offering 3-D map views along the way. Once you enter a new destination, it's saved under an icon titled My Destinations, which allows you to key in a destination with just the click of a button. With these units, you get a full wide-screen view of your path in real-time.The GPS navigation system comes with a useful battery charger, which provides nearly five hours' worth of continual use.
