Awesome lightweight amp with great tone!
This little amp has 200 watts of power and has great tone with it's 4 bands of EQ. I was very impressed with how much low end sound I was able to get out of this small powerhouse amp into 8 or 4 ohm cabs ..... GK also included a line out for headphones, and a 1/8" line in for your music to play along with. Get one, you'll love it!
Wonderful little amp. No frills....just what's needed to put a smile on your face. Running it into a 4×10 and a 1×18 Ampeg cab, for the 4 ohm power advantage. Not bad into 8 ohms, but 4 really brings it to life. It rocks the house with a low D into that 18 cab. Perfect for a lightweight backup amp and plenty of power for small to medium gigs. The contour switch is a gem. A mute button would be nice, but this thing is tiny and I wouldn't sacrifice any of the other controls. Plenty of power in a micro size package!
This is my second MB200, foolishly sold the first one. This bass head has more power than I will ever need for all of my gigs - full, rich, big GK tone in a package the size of a cigar box. Crazy value!
It's insane to have this much power and the classic GK tone in a head that fits into a laptop case WITH all of the power and accessory cables. I've used this on large hotel auditorium gigs, to 200 seat clubs, and the AUX and headphone jacks make it an ideal rehearsal tool with headphones (especially on the road in hotel rooms), or connected to a cabinet. If there were any knock, it would be that it looks somewhat silly driving larger cabinets. Looked like I was running a 2x15 cabinet with an effects pedal.

Ridiculously light, sounds great

Loud enough for metal; versitile enough to find YOUR tone. Pro or Beginner
She's a little beast! More than enough for a metal drummer! Small enough to make transport a non issue. Light enough to not scratch your bass up in the front pocket of your gig bag.(Feet facing the bass of course!) I'd get a second for a sick stereo rig. One clean, and one overdriven. Great medium-duty bass amp.
